The Worlds Best Pasta Sauce

The Worlds Best Pasta sauce is healthy, filling and delicious! It's full of healthy ingredients and bursting with rich flavors.



Pasta is a great, healthy, staple food that is very versatile and can be eaten in many ways and on any budget.

Our favourite way to eat pasta here at LiveGood, is with this classic tomato sauce, served over wholemeal pasta tubes.

Ingredients:

3 cans of peeled, chopped plum tomatoes

2 Medium Onions

4 cloves of garlic

2 glasses of red wine

Fresh basil

Olive oil

Corguette

Mushrooms

Salt and pepper

Large Pan with lid

Chopping Board

Chopping Knife

Wooden Spoon

Tablespoon

Large Jar or Tupperware with lid
(for storing any leftover sauce in the fridge)


Worlds Best Pasta Sauce
Cooking Instructions:

Step 1
Finely chop the garlic cloves, dice the onions and then chop the corguettes and mushrooms into chunky pieces.

Step 2
Heat 2 large spoonfuls of olive oil in a large pan over a medium heat and throw in the finely chopped garlic. Allow to soften slightly for a minute or two, stirring with a wooden spoon.

Step 3
Turn up the heat slightly and add the onions, mushrooms and corguettes to the pan. Continue to stir until the the vegetables have softened, which should be around 8-10 minutes.

Step 4
Add the tomatoes, stir, then add the 2 glasses of red wine. Season with salt and plenty of pepper. Bring to the boil, then quickly reduce to a simmer, stirring continuously. Cover the pan.

Step 5
Allow the sauce to simmer and thicken over a low heat for around 2 hours, stirring every 10 minutes or so to prevent sticking. Uncover the pan for the last 20 minutes of cooking.

Step 6
Turn off the heat, tear the fresh basil leaves with your hands and add to the sauce, with another 2 large spoonfuls of olive oil and some more salt and pepper.

Step 7
Stir, and serve over your favourite wholemeal pasta for a delicious, healthy meal!

Step 8
Pour any leftover sauce into an empty jar or Tupperware dish, top with a lid and store in the fridge for upto a week.
